Pastor Bio

Pastor Blount started as a member and later became a deacon at Mt. Calvary M.B. Church for numerous years. He became the pastor May of 2014.  A humble man, he is always seeking God for His direction.  As a son, husband to Barbara and father of three children, he is joyous of his definite call of being a pastor and servant of God. He is very in-tuned to the youth and is always seeking ways to keep and welcome them in God’s house.  He recognizes that youth play an integral role in God’s kingdom, therefore he  welcomes their suggestions, takes them on eventful adventures, honors their academic accomplishments and has special meals prepared for them every second Sunday, after they have rendered their Sunday youth service.

One of pastor’s saying is, “I just want to be real for God.” He is a visionary and believes in utilizing members to work on making the church be the church where Christ abides.  The ultimate objective is to be the church where Christ is revealed in its members’ love.
